Lorry mows down advocate at N R Circle, lawyers stage flash protest

Hassan: A two-wheeler rider was killed on the spit after his vehicle was allegedly knocked down by a lorry at N R Circle on Tuesday.
The incident triggered a flash protest by advocates, as the rider killed was identified as Nazeer Ahmed (65) an advocate.
The advocates who staged a road block vented their anguish against police in condemnation of the incident.
They raised slogans against the police, especially traffic police creating tense moments for sometime.
When Circle Police Inspector Renuka Prasad rushed to the spot, it resulted in a a wordy duel with the advocates.
Demanding the arrival of Deputy Commissioner and SP to the spot, the advocates formed a human chain.
Later, additional SP Nandini who came to the spot held talks with the protesting advocates.
