MIT Mysore celebrates National Science Day

Mysuru: The department of Basic Sciences of Maharaja Institute of Technology Mysore along with the IEEE chapter celebrated National Science Day at college premises on Tuesday.
As many as 31 teams comprising of 5 students each of first year BE took part in the science exhibition and showcased their learnings.
The day also marked the launch of Applied Science and Engineering Club at the institute.
The event was inaugurated by Shashidhar Dongre, Global Head, Embedded System Validation – CTO Office, L & T Tech Services, who in his inaugural speech advised the students to be prepared for future opportunities with focused efforts on curriculum.
He quoted examples from his own experiences to motivate the students.
Chairman of MET Dr Murali S, in his presidential remarks said that “the ancient texts of India have contributed to the science yet continues to remain unnoticed and hence we glorify the modern day scientists.”
