New Delhi: The mortal remains of Brigadier L S Lidder were consigned to flames at Brar Square crematorium here on Friday.
Earlier, a host of dignitaries including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, higher defence officials paid their last respects to the mortal remains of Lidder, who was among 13 killed in chopper crash along with Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat at Coonoor on their way to Wellington in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also paid his tribute to Brigadier Lidder.
It was a touching moment to see Lidder’s daughter Ashana studying class 12 kissing the coffin of her father.
Lidder is survived by his wife Geethika Lidder, daughter and a large number of relatives and friends.
