Nagamangala town police stop drug peddlers transporting Rs two lakh worth ganja
1 min readMandya: In a swift operation, Nagamangala town police arrested two persons and seized 10 kg ganja worth Rs two lakh.
They were transporting ganja in a car, from Tumakuru to Mysuru, when the police stopped them.
The accused are identified as Suhail Ahmed and Sahel Akheel of Mysuru. They were transporting the banned stuff near Beedi Colony on Mysuru road, when the police intercepted the vehicle. Upon inspection, it was found that the ganja leaves were stuffed in sacks.
The duo was arrested and produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
Police team was led by CPI Rajendra and PSI Ravikiran.
SP Parashuram, Additional SP Shobha Rani and DySP Vishwanath supervised the operation.
