No decision yet on reopening of Palace to visitors: Minister
1 min readMysuru: District Incharge Minister S T Somashekhar reiterated that reopening of Mysuru Palace to tourists has not been considered yet.
He was reacting to questions after he stated that public entry to zoo is being discussed by the government, at Mysuru Zoo on Saturday.
Minister Somashekhar stated that the government is still deliberating whether to allow public or not in the Zoo, considering the impact of Covid-19. Apart from this, no other tourist centres including Mysuru Palace was discussed.
He further stated that the district administration will decide after looking into the state and centre governments guidelines
On the recent political developments, he tried to allay fears that may threaten to unstable the government. “These political developments are not a threat to the government. The meeting of legislators was no secret and one should not misconstrue it. Moreover, we are not engaged in attracting Congress MLAs,” he added.
He further said that the chief minister and High command will decide on elections to Council seats and Rajya Sabha.
