North Karnataka Association in Mysuru helps stranded migrants with food kits
1 min readMysuru: People from north Karnataka who have made Mysuru their home responded to the needs of those from North India and migrants stranded in the city due to lockdown.
Covid 19 has snatched the livelihood of labour class, especially daily wagers from North India who are struggling to make their ends meet.
Members of Uttara Karnataka Samskruthika Sangha in association with Kannada and Culture department distributed food kits to labourers from Bihar and nomadic women (Kole Basava), camping at Old Kesare.
Retired deputy director of Mysuru Palace Board V A Avaradhi, Ashok B Yendigeri, Basavaraju and others distributed the food kits. It includes- Rice, wheat, cooking oil, salt and soaps.
