Mysuru: A city entrepreneur has come forward to do his mite for the cause of needy Covid patients.
Manjunath of Yashtel Broadband service and U-Digital venture in association with V-Care Mysuru Team and Care Social Foundation is ready with 19 oxygen concentrators of 5 litres and 10 litres capacities. A vehicle and one volunteer will be deputed to provide mobile Oxygen facility.
On Monday MLA L Nagendra, DCP (law and order) Dr A N Prakash Gowda and Manjunath launched the service to Mysureans. The facility will be provided for free for home isolated patients in emergency.
MLA Nagendra said “people are panicking now because of the difficulties in getting oxygenated beds. This unique Oxygen Concentrator mobile service is aimed at easing tension.”
DCP Prakash Gowda said “medical oxygen is the need of the hour. Oxygen concentrators are really helpful to people to breathe easy till they are hospitalised. We are thankful to Manjunath and team on behalf of Mysureans.”
Manjunath stated “it’s unfortunate that even my closed ones suffer to get Oxygen and beds in this pandemic time. Many of them are giving masks and sanitizers. So, we planned to provide Oxygen concentrator portability service for free of cost. Two types of oxygen concentrators are available. Now, total 19 concentrators are available. We have circulated the contact numbers and needy people can utilise the service at any time. We are available 24/7.”
KR Hospital’s Dr Yogish, Gopalagowda Shantaveri Hospital’s Dr Santrupth, V-Care Mysuru Team and Care Social Foundation’s Abdul Khadar Shahid, Yashtel TV editor B Y Sahitya and Just Kannada editor Kollegala Mahesh were present.
