1 min readMysuru: A 32-year-old painter suffered grievous injuries after allegedly slipping from a height of about 10 to 15 feet from the top of a temple in the Mysuru Palace premises on Wednesday.
Aftab of Ghousianagar was painting the top of Trineshwara Swamy temple near Jayamarthanda gate, when he accidentally slipped from the top.
He has suffered serious head injuries and fractures in both the knees, said a source.
He is admitted at K R Hospital.
As Nada Habba Mysuru Dasara begins from October 7, Mysuru Palace Board is sprucing up the palace premises including temples.
Like every year, the painting works had been taken up, with a contractor named Babu tasked with the job.
Lack of safety measures at the work site is alleged to be the reason behind the incident.
