1 min readMysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Bengaluru-Mysuru 10-lane Expressway on March 11, said Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, MP Simha said work on underpasses at Induvalu and Budanur is going on full swing and it will be completed on war footing. He further said that on the same day, foundation stone will be laid for Mysuru-Kushalnagar highway. “Our government is laying such good roads and it will benefit Mysuru, Mandya and Ramanagar, in particular,” he said.
“BJP has never neglected Mandya, even though the people of Mandya have never elected the party candidate here. Apart from good roads, under the Amrit Yojana, Mandya City will get potable water, Modi government has given a good maternity hospital for Mandya. With such good works in Mandya, we want to have the highway inaugurated in Mandya. We hope people will realise the good works done by Modi for the Mandya people,” he added.

Reiterating his suggestion to name the Expressway as Cauvery Expressway, MP Pratap Simha appealed everyone to agree to name the 10-lane Expressway after River Cauvery, which is among the sacred rivers in Southern India, apart from Godavari. “We do not have the tradition of naming a highway after an individual. Let us pay tributes to the river, a lifeline for the people of this region,” he added.
