Pranab Mukherjee holds credit for effective implementation of NREGA: Dhruvanarayan

Mysuru: Former MP R Dhruvanarayan described the former President of India Pranab Mukherjee as a politician with an unblemished record of 50 years public life.
Addressing the Congress party workers at a meeting arranged to condole the death of Pranab Mukherjee at Indira Gandhi Congress Bhavan, on Tuesday, Dhruvanarayan said “In 50 years of his public life, Mukherjee did not have any black mark on his career. I had the privilege of sitting next to him in the parliament, which I still consider as a proud moment”.
The credit of effective implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in the country should go to Pranab Mukherjee. As a minister of finance and defence, he did enormous works. When the sericulture farmers in the state were in distress, Mukherjee swiftly responded and came to their rescue.
