Project to rejuvenate Manchanabele lakes soon, says Minister Dr K Sudhakar

Chikkaballapura: Two lakes of Manchanabele will also be filled with water of either HN valley or Yettinahole project soon, said district incharge Minister Dr K Sudhakar.

Speaking after was inaugurating various developmental works in the district, Sudhakar said “Our main objective is to provide clean drinking water to the people of Chikkaballapur, seven lakes are rejuvenated with water from H N valley. We will work on rejuvenating lakes in Manchanabele also”.

“A total of 5000 houses are being constructed in the district as a part of housing scheme. Additional plots are also earmarked for the project which will be taken up soon”, said Sudhakar.

Bagepalli will be developed as an industrial area and necessary infrastructure like road and other developments are already in progress. More rural roads will be constructed under Pradhan Mantri Grameena Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), he added.

I oppose dynasty politics

Responding to a question on recent political developments in Congress, Dr Sudhakar said that “freedom fighters have brought equality and democratic system. Unfortunately some political leaders have been enlightened very late about this system. Everyone should get equal opportunities in a democratic system. It should not be limited to a particular family. I oppose dynasty politics”, said Sudhakar.

Roads worth Rs 15 crore

Construction of rural roads worth Rs 15.78 crore under PMGSY was initiated by the minister on Friday. It includes 9.50 Km road from Gundlagurki Cross to Rayappanahalli via Akatimmanahalli, Hosahalli and Soppahalli, 5.78 km road from Hosuru to NH-234 via Kandakanahalli and Gidnahalli, 6.53 km road from Ajjavara to Jatavara via Tippahalli.

Other Points made by the Minister

• A memorandum has been submitted to the Chief Minister requesting release of bonds to collect more funds for Yettinahole project.

• Retd. Justice H.S Kempanna has been appointed as claim commissioner with respect to Bengaluru riots, defaulters will pay for the loss.

• Minister thanked the Prime Minister for opening 40 Crore Jan Dhan accounts in six years.

• Medical Education Department Employees Welfare Association has thanked the Minister for implementing NPS scheme for all permanent staff in the department.
