Property Return Parade! Mysuru City Police recover Rs 5.06 crore worth booty in 324 cases
1 min readMysuru: City Police cracked 324 cases and recovered Rs 5.06 crore worth booty against total 676 cases booked and properties worth Rs seven crore stolen in different cases.
Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta told media during the property return paradeĀ “since November 2020 to November 2021 there were 676 cases booked related to various property theft cases. Among them 324 cases were solved and recovered Rs 5.06 crore worth properties.”
Chandragupta stated there were four dacoity cases, seven extortion cases, 37 chain snatching cases, 47 house thefts, nine house burglary cases, five forest related crime cases and 212 vehicle theft cases. The booty recovered includes about 6.5 KG gold, 8.2 KG silver, 49 smart phones, two laptops and 309 kg sandalwood logs and 196 two-wheelers, six cars and 10 other vehicles along with Rs 18 lakh cash in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 2000.
Interestingly Nazarbad Police recovered gym equipment like bar, dumbbells and weight plates worth around Rs 25,000 before disposing them at a scrapyard in the city. It was stole from Sahukar Chennaiah Wrestling centre.
Police commissioner handed over properties mainly gold and silver valuables and vehicles to the owners/ complainants in respective cases.
DCPs Pradeep Gunti ( Law and Order)and Geetha Prasanna (Crime and Traffic) were present.
