PSI CET scam! Government revokes recruitment, decides to conduct re-exam

Bengaluru: Following the large scale irregularities in the recruitment for 545 PSI posts, the state government revoked the appointments, leaving the successful candidates in a fix.
The government will conduct re-examination for the posts to avoid the controversy further. Those candidates who have been accused in the scam won’t be allowed to appear for the exams, announced Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
In the CET held on October 3, 2021, grave irregularities were found in Jnana Jyoti English Medium School at Gokul Nagar in Kalaburagi one of the exam centres.
The OMR sheets were allegedly manipulated, with some of the candidates writing the answers with the help of bluetooth device at this centre.
Following the scam, CID is conducting the probe and over 20 accused including BJP leader Divya Hagaragi, Congress leaders Mahantesh Patil and his brother R D Patil and also some of the candidates are arrested in this regard.
