Public Prosecutor Ajit Kumar D Hamigi retires from service
1 min readMysuru: Ajit Kumar D Hamigi Public Prosecutor at Mysuru Law Courts retired from the service on June 30.
Hamigi who was promoted as Public Prosecutor in 2012 served in Ramanagar for a year, before his transfer to Mysuru in 2013 and served here till his superannuation from the service.
Advocate Hamigi who cracked the government conducted exams in the year 1993 in seventh rank, was appointed as assistant public prosecutor on June 24, 1994. He served in Mysuru, Udupi and Karkala, before his promotion as senior assistant public prosecutor and was transferred to Mangaluru.
Hamigi said he ensured conviction to those found guilty in 200 cases in Mysuru, and the convicts in 50 cases have been awarded life imprisonment.
Hamigi has successfully handled cases related to murder, rape, extortion, besides that of forest, electricity and excise related offences.
