Ramanagara: Nikhil Kumaraswamy loses JDS forte to Congress

Ramanagara: Considered as the forte of JDS, Ramanagar, however was taken over by the Congress this time as JDS candidate Nikhil Kumaraswamy was trounced by Congress candidate Iqbal Hussein.
In fact, considered as lucky bastion for JDS from where H D Kumaraswamy had won several times and even his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy too had won earlier, however, did not prove lucky for Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
This is the second time Nikhil is tasting defeat in his electoral journey.
Since his defeat in Mandya last time, Anitha Kumaraswamy had sacrificed Ramanagara constituency for Nikhil presuming his easy win. But the Congress candidate Iqbal Hussein has upset all the calculations.
Besides, to give boost to Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s candidature, even his grandfather and JDS Supremo H D Deve Gowda too had campaigned for him. But D K Shivakumar and D K Suresh’s strategy seemed to have worked out.
