Retired teacher Devanur Nagannachar passes away

Mysuru: Retired teacher and writer Devanur Nagannachar passed away on Friday. He was 74.
Nagannachar who started his career as a teacher at Nagamma Government School in Nanjangud later retired from Government Higher Primary School, Devanur.
Nagannachar had written various books and plays and brought out audio albums titled ‘Sri Gurumalleshwara Mahatme Matthu Nagalingeshwara’, Gurumalleshwara Suprabhata and devotional songs, Sharana Sangama, Nanjundappana Theru audio album, ‘Naganathana Chowpadi’ a book.
The last rites will be conducted at his native Devanur.
He is survived by his wife, son journalist D N Mahendra of Kannada Prabha, daughter-in-law, grandson and a large number of relatives and friends.
