RGUHS- 25! PM Narendra Modi to declare open celebrations thru video conference

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and release a compendium of research articles through video conference today.
Sharing this information, Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar said that “the government is planning for a meaningful celebration of the event and our beloved PM inaugurating the event will add a feather in its cap. This will inspire teachers and students”.
Sudhakar said “we are living in a moment where the world is facing a huge crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in association with partners such as IIT-B, IISC, GHA, BBC, NSRCEL, Microsoft, Elsevier has come up with a call inviting innovative students to participate in ‘RGUHS COVID 19 Innovation Challenge’. RGUHS will provide a suitable platform for new inventions. This will be a first ever healthcare innovation challenge, Minister added.
RGUHS is entering into its 25th year on June 1, since it started in 1996. It is a largest Health Science university in the country with 800 institutions associated with it and more than 2.5 lakhs students learning here.
The minister thanked the 23,000 faculty members of the university for actively taking part in the war against Covid-19. Innovation challenge will bring a meaning to the silver jubilee celebrations, Sudhakar said.
