Mysuru: Alleging large scale corruption in the election to Legislative Council, with whopping Rs 1500 crore at stake, independent candidate and former MLA Vatal Nagaraj called “Election Commission as dead.”
Vatal is contesting the election from Mysuru- Chamarajanagar local bodies constituency.
Vatal Nagaraj staged a protest at Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar circle (formerly Hardinge Circle).
Vatal demanded the authorities to initiate action immediately if they notice distribution of any money to lure the voters, Vatal claimed.
Party politics has polluted the Prestigious Upper house too, reducing it to lower house due to its poor standards. Political parties are giving a chance to people with money power only and it is shameful, Vatal said.
