New Delhi: Haveri MP Basavaraj Bommai has dropped a bombshell, even as the multiple investigation agencies are involved in the probe into multi-crore scam at Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Limited.
Speaking to media persons at Karnataka Bhavan on Monday, Basavaraj Bommai, also the immediate past Chief Minister of Karnataka, has alleged that, an amount of Rs 40 crore belonging to ST Corporation, has been transferred to a benami account in Hyderabad, through the treasury on March 30- 31.
The Chief Minister should clarify about the transfer of such a huge amount from the State treasury and whether there was any bid to destroy the challan related to the transfer of the amount, said Bommai, claiming that he received the information recently, but subject to clarification.
Uttara Kannada MP Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri and Chitradurga MP Govind Karjol were present.
