SDM-IMD hosts first aid and CPR training with experts from Cauvery Hospital

Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) had organized a First Aid and CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) session for the students and staff members on October 26.
The introductory session of the training program was delivered by Dr Aravind R M, Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon from Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital, Mysore.
Dr Aravindam explained the DOs and DONTs of first aid and emphasized the importance of First Aid in saving lives. Basic first aid and CPR skills are invaluable because it lets us ease and help someone until support arrives.
The Session on CPR was delivered by Dr Vaidyanathan R, Consultant Intensivist and Director, Critical Care and Emergency Services from Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital, Mysore.
The sessions were followed by a practical demonstration of First aid and CPR by a team of Instructors of Cauvery Heart and Multispeciality Hospital and EC Members of the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists, Mysore City Branch.
Earlier, the team of doctors and medical staff of Cauvery hospital were welcomed by Prof C V Sridhar, Asst. Professor, SDMIMD.
