Self-defence training for female at VVCE! Former black cat commando to lend skills
1 min readMysuru: Vidyavardhka College of Engineering (VVCE) along with Rotaract Club of VVCE has launched a self-defence training for female.
DCP ( Crime and Traffic) Geetha Prasanna inaugurated the training programme at VVCE campus recently.
Rotract Club and its members initiated the training to empower girls.
Geetha Prasanna explained the significance of defence skills why and how it will be useful especially for young girls.
Trainer Dr Vasanth Poovaiah, a retired NSG Black Cat Commando and State President Civil Cell Defence ( NCC and HWO), Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr G V Naveen Prakash, President of RMW, Rtn Dr B Chandra, President of Inner Wheel Club of Mysore West, Ann Bhavani Chandra, Rtn Dr A Sonia Mandappa, district civil defence cell, Rtn Aditya Desiraju, Director, Youth Service, Rotary Mysore West were present.
