Social distancing goes for a toss as people vie for holige at Jarkiholi’s programme
1 min readMysuru: Social distancing, the most crucial in preventing the spread of Corona virus went for a toss when people and followers of Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi vied with one another for free meal with holige. Minister was in Kabini on Thursday.
He held a meeting with officials at the Inspection Bungalow. Soon, his followers and people who had gathered there rushed to grab meal conveniently ignoring the social distance norms.
Police and officers failed to manage the crowd who were jostling to get holige. Minister who was holding meeting in the IB turned a blind eye to the whole chaos.
Later, he visited the dam. He also visited Subhash Power Corporation after receiving complaints that the corporation was misusing water from the dam. Minister promised to look into the matter.
