Sri Ramakrishna Ashram launches campaign to distribute 25,000 free saplings

Mysuru: “Haccha Hasira Mysuru, Viveka Prabheya Mysuru” a programme to distribute 25,000 free saplings was launched at Sri Ramakrishna Vidya Kendra, Yadavagiri in the city on Sunday. 

Food kits were distributed to Asha workers who worked as Corona Warriors at Sri Ramakrishna Ashram in Mysuru.

Minister for Cooperation and district incharge S T Somashekar along with the president of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram Mukthidanandaji inaugurated the programme.

Muktidanandaji said ” While nature knows how to overcome its mistakes naturally, the man should also take up the initiatives to correct the mistakes. Hence a drive is launched to enhance green cover of the city”.

Somashekar symbolically distributed the saplings and wished the Ashrama a success for its green initiative. 

Saplings of various species like that of medicinal, fruits and flowers are being distributed as a part of Green Mysuru initiative.
The saplings can be collected at Vidyakendra between 10 AM and 12 noon and 3 PM to 5.30 PM.
Asha workers who worked as Corona Warriors were given food kits.
Student scholarships were distributed to the students of vidyakendra.
Mysuru- Kodagu MP Prathap Simha and MLA L Nagendra were present.
