Transfer of DC Sharat, insult to a ‘Kannadiga IAS officer among dalits’, feels Sa Ra Mahesh

Mysuru: Following the transfer of Deputy Commissioner Sharat B (in pic above), former minister and K R Nagar MLA Sa Ra Mahesh has termed it as an insult to a “Kannadiga IAS officer who is also a dalit”.
Mahesh who took severe exception to the transfer of Sharat, in a short span of 29 days, called it as a false move on the part of the government. Never in the history of the district was a Deputy Commissioner who is also the Dasara Special Officer has been transferred ahead of Nada Habba.
Questioning the motive of the government, Mahesh opined that ” It’s very rare that the Kannadigas crack civil service exams. In such cases, the government should should give due preference to them. However the recent move of the government doesn’t augur well”.
The government has preferred an IAS officer (Rohini Sindhuri Dasari) hailing from Andhra Pradesh against a Kannadiga for the top office of the district, alleged Mahesh.
