Tremors felt in Sedam taluk

Kalaburagi: Tremors were felt in villages of Sedam taluk in Kalaburagi district on Wednesday morning. According to the National Center for Seismology, the earthquake measuring 3.4 on Richter scale was recorded in Benakanahalli, Kodla, Rajoli and nearby villages in Sedam taluk.
Panicked residents rushed out of their homes. It is said that some houses in the vicinity developed cracks and the villagers suspecting it to be due to explosions caused in the cement manufacturing unit that’s situated nearby. So far, no major damage has been reported.
