1 min readMysuru: Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani announced that 75 per cent subsidy will be given for the economically backward and SC/ STs to set up industry in Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) sites.
Nirani was speaking after inaugurating “Udyami Aagu, Udyoga Needu” programme at KSOU Convocation Hall in the city.
The minister was also happy to note that over 500 students from Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan and Kodagu taking part in the programme through video conference.
He also informed that those who have enrolled with the interest to set up own ventures will be imparted a special one month training in their chosen field. They will be helped in the process of availing bank loan and submitting the project report.
Instilling the confidence among budding investors, Nirani said ” There is no need to work under others. If you have a will and determination, you can set up your own industry and give jobs to others. Money alone is not the criterion to start a venture”, said Nirani.
Minister for Municipal Administration M T B Nagaraj also spoke.
The programme was followed by Industrial Adalat attended by many industrialists.
