Underpass of no use to pedestrians on Sayyajirao Road

Mysuru: The underpasses on busy Sayyajirao Road in the city remains out of bounds for pedestrians.
The underpasses near Bata Showroom, remain unused even though many years have passed. The Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) has locked the entry gates of, restricting the accessibility. If an Underpass is built to lock, wasn’t it a waste of tax payer’s’ money?
During festivals, holidays and Dasara, the elderly and disabled struggle to cross that road. Had the Underpass kept open, it would helped many.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Mysuru District President L Rangaiah has demanded that, at least now the Mysuru City Corporation should wake up and remove the lock and allow people to move freely with a proper lighting system.
Will MCC take note of the timely demand in pedestrians interest? Only time will tell.
