Veteran actress Asha Parekh receives Dadasaheb Phalke Award

New Delhi: President of India Droupadi Murmu conferred Dadasaheb Phalke award on legendary Bollywood actress Asha Parekh for the year 2020.
The highest film award was presented to 79 year old actress Asha Parekh during the national film awards presentation programme in the city.
Asha thanked Government of India for the honour and expressed that she was grateful to receive this award just one day before her 80th birthday.
“This is the best honour I could get from the Government of India. I would like to thank the jury. I have been in the industry for the last 60 years and still continue to be attached in my own way”, Asha said.
Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur was also present.
