Vokkaliga seers, members back DK Shivakumar as CM

Mysuru: Vokkaliga community leaders, along with Adichunchanagiri Mysuru Mutt seer, united their voices in support of D K Shivakumar’s bid for the Chief Minister’s position.
The premises of the KG Koppal Bandanthamma Kalamma Temple, revered by Vokkaliga community members, served as the platform to recommend DK Shivakumar’s appointment as the Chief Minister.
With the Congress party securing 135 seats, KPCC President DK Shivakumar played a pivotal role in orchestrating the party’s success and bringing it back to power in Karnataka. In Congress, it has been a tradition that KPCC president is selected as the chief minister.
Mysuru Adichunchanagiri Mutt Seer, Somanathananda Seer, also emphasized that the Congress high command should acknowledge DK Shivakumar’s tireless efforts and recognize him as the true leader who has revitalized the Karnataka Congress.
Mohan Kumar Gowda an activist opined that Siddaramaiah has already served as a chief minister and Shivakumar should get a chance this time.
